The Rev. Gregory M. Wilson

Father Greg is extraordinarily excited to join the family at Trinity Episcopal “Old Swedes” Church. He grew up locally in West Chester, PA and he and his wife Brenda currently reside in Media, PA. His 13-year-old daughter Claire joins them every other weekend.

Father Greg has been ordained for 17 years, serving in a variety of ministry settings. Most recently, he served for three years as the Associate for Youth and Family Ministry at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Kennett Square, PA. Prior to that call, he served as the Rector

of Resurrection Episcopal Church in Aston PA. Resurrection was formed from the merger of St. James and Calvary Episcopal Churches. During this six-year tenure, Father Greg walked both parishes through the merger process. From 2004-2010, he worked as the joint Lutheran and Episcopal Chaplain at Temple University, while serving on staff at the Episcopal Diocese of Pennsylvania. He has also served at Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, where he was responsible for youth and campus ministry (to Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges). In 2012, Father Greg completed a Masters in Social Service at Bryn Mawr College and is a Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having worked in a variety of social work settings. He is a co-owner of Sage Counseling, LLC in Newtown Square, PA.

Father Greg has a strong passion for re-imagining Jesus’ church in a changing world. He also has extensive experience in helping communities navigate that change. He is passionate about understanding and teaching about scripture, while nurturing faith development. He has also recently been involved in Jewish-Christian interfaith study and dialogue. As part of that work, in 2017 he traveled with an interfaith clergy group to Israel.

During free time, Father Greg and Brenda enjoy skiing, traveling, projecting human emotions onto their dog, spending family time together, and reading. Brenda works in Wilmington, DE for Brandywine Counseling and Community Services as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
